Point missed. It’s about reinforcing out of date stereotypes. Example. My father in law saying “women’s football is rubbish and he won’t watch it”. I have two daughters. How do you think hearing that helps them?

-
Why don’t you teach your daughters to learn to stand up for themselves and argue their case to persuade him?
-
They’re 12 and 8. They should feel supported like all children and not hear disparaging outdated views especially from family. But don’t worry. The 12 year old has already dismantled his Brexit views so I’m quite sure they’ll chip in
-
The truth is, it won’t have any effect on your daughter. The idea that girls are particularly vulnerable to stereotype effect is itself a form of sexism.

I once donned a dress and did the vacuuming after viewing the Shake and Vac advert. I don't think it did me any harm but I've always maintained shoulder length hair since then.
-
Did it put the freshness back?

It's not about a specific individual being harmed or hurt by a specific advert. It's about the unconscious bias in society that adverts like that reinforce, stereotyping both men and women. That's where the harm comes into it.
-
It's only harmful if those 'harmed' have no imagination; no sense of humour; incapable of independent thought; no sense of character; no conviction and probably still believe in Father Christmas, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy..

My mental state takes a battering when these PC clowns come up with this sort of idiocy.

Inspire your children to do their best that's what good parents do. A bloody TV advert isn't going to harm them, this country's gone absolutely bonkers.

Wait until Corbyn gets in, we’ll be forced into re-education programs to turn us into gay, trans communist party comrades!

I've recently started cooking because I haven't seen a woman in a kitchen on a tv ad' for so long.

So we now live in a world where it is ok to joke about throwing Battery Acid over a politician but not ok to laugh at a man changing a nappy or a woman's bad parking ?
