it's even more absurd , that here in Scotland , we are governed by a party that we haven't voted for in 50 years .
-
You should have persuaded more people to vote for independence in 2014 then, shouldn’t you? I didn’t vote for my local Labour council but that doesn’t mean they’re not legitimate or it’s unfair in any way.

What's your issue with *grammar* schools? Grammar schools tend to breed success, self-reliance, responsibility. A standard that all schools should also expect to meet. Unless of course they are busy indoctrinating their kids in the ways of The Left.
-
I don’t have an issue with grammar schools. I want one in every neighbourhood.

And seven of the past eight Conservative party leaders went to state school... only Cameron went to private school since Douglas Home. Heath, Thatcher, Major, Hague, IDS, Howard and May all went to state.

note how privately educated and grammar school attending Corbyn and the rest of the
#IslingtonCabal are against the grammar school system they benefited from. One rule for them, another for everyone else. -
Corbyn was so bad at school unlike his brother Piers. Parents dispatched him to Africa for a couple of years.

A good education should not be counted against anyone. However, a good education should not be dependent on how wealthy you / your parents are or whom their croquet partner is.

I don't think a good education should be a privilege of wealth. I think a good education is a right that should be there for all, whether the son / daughter of millionaire or a pauper. What people do with that education, whether they maximise or waste it is down to them.

You're probably not wrong. My argument is that you shouldn't need to go to Eton to be educated to a good enough standard to become PM. That should be a basic right for all.
