There is absolutely no good reason to cut the abortion time limit from 24wks to 12wks. The 24wk limit is there for valid and justifiable medical reasons. Many women don’t even know they’re pregnant until 12wks.https://twitter.com/RidgeOnSunday/status/1137648043904385025 …

Disagree on this one. My Godson was born at 23 weeks. A fully formed but tiny baby & thank God he is still here 15 months later.

And I have a family member whose son was born at 24 weeks. At the most, a limit of 22 weeks perhaps. Definitely not 12. And I say that as someone who miscarried 4 times. I know the value of a baby’s life. I also know the value of women’s lives.

It goes to show what an emotive subject this is. I may disagree on the time limit but I do believe a woman has the right to choose.

I think the vast majority are in this group. 24 seems concerningly late and 12 is a perhaps too restrictive. Huge grey area in between and nobody really knows where the line should be.

Surely the answer is clear - you can’t have a hard and fast number of weeks as the test. Viability should be the criterion, whether that’s 20, 22, 24, whatever for different situations. 22, or any other number, is arbitrary and can’t apply to all cases.

You're a man so you have no say, but most are serious abnormalities or young girls not knowing they are pregnant maybe after rape or incest!

Hah but it's not independent is it moron,we die it dies, most late term abortions are due to severe abnormalities or young girls not knowing they're pregnant, but like I said none of it is any man's business, even if abortion was outlawed women would still get them!

So why 22 and not 16 or 14? I understand the upper limit but do notunderstand where you set the lower limit.

Sorry for your sad experience with miscarriages, but more sadly you have a warped view of the value of all human life.
