There is absolutely no good reason to cut the abortion time limit from 24wks to 12wks. The 24wk limit is there for valid and justifiable medical reasons. Many women don’t even know they’re pregnant until 12wks.https://twitter.com/RidgeOnSunday/status/1137648043904385025 …

As a sufferer of multiple miscarriages myself, I believe no woman should ever have the control of her own body taken away from her. At 12 weeks many women aren't even getting many symptoms. Many abnormalities don't show until 20 weeks. Hence the 24 week limit.

But the majority of abortions aren't done for abnormalities. They're done because the baby was conceived at an inconvient time. In other words, as a form of birth control. Adoption is always available but it's rarely brought up as the better option. There's many adoption options.

Nope. The majority of abortions are because the person whose body will be used does not want it to be so used. Adoption is neither here nor there. This is about bodily autonomy. No means no still applies.

Yup, most women are able to get over the counter birth control, and those who can't are forced to get abortions. No woman would willingly want to have an abortion, and it is no ones business but hers if she does.

I personally know a woman who had 3 abortions w/o a second thought. They WERE her form of birth control. Birth control is available. Use it or don't have sex. When ONE OUT OF FOUR women in US has an abortion, you can't tell me these were situations where birth control went wrong.

So you’re defending killing a human being with a heartbeat because the woman didn’t know she was pregnant?

No, that’s not the reason. The heartbeat is irrelevant.

Then what is the reason why it’s okay to kill an innocent human being with a heartbeat? If having a heartbeat doesn’t qualify someone as a living person then what does?

The ability to survive on its own. A working and developed mind/conscious. An impact or relationships that can be justified as more important than that of the woman carrying it. Brain dead people still have a beating heart...tho no quality of life without a functioning brain

A newborn baby is not able to survive on its own, nor does it have a developed mind/conscious. That’s doesn’t mean that they are not just as valuable and worth protecting as anyone else.

A newborn baby (at least at the stage it should be birthed) have fully developed organs that function without the need of the woman that allow it to breath and provide nutrients. My third point still stands.

Brain dead people is a good example actually. They may not have a fully functioning brain or be able to think for themselves, but that doesn’t mean that it’s okay to kill them. Just like with unborn babies
