Disagree on this one. My Godson was born at 23 weeks. A fully formed but tiny baby & thank God he is still here 15 months later.

And I have a family member whose son was born at 24 weeks. At the most, a limit of 22 weeks perhaps. Definitely not 12. And I say that as someone who miscarried 4 times. I know the value of a baby’s life. I also know the value of women’s lives.
-
It goes to show what an emotive subject this is. I may disagree on the time limit but I do believe a woman has the right to choose.

Heartbeat is detectable at 12 weeks Julia.
-
When did I say it wasn’t? It’s detectable at 6wks too.

You asked why Hunt chose 12 weeks. This is whyhttps://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/12-weeks-pregnant/ …

Mate, I know what a baby looks like at 12 weeks. I’ve had 4 miscarriages.
-
That's very sad. No one should have to go through that.
-
As a sufferer of multiple miscarriages myself, I believe no woman should ever have the control of her own body taken away from her. At 12 weeks many women aren't even getting many symptoms. Many abnormalities don't show until 20 weeks. Hence the 24 week limit.

I don’t often disagree with you Julia but on this one I do. 24 weeks is infanticide
