      There isn’t a proper politics course at Cambridge. SPS is a lefty social science course regarded as a doss by history and English grads whereas PPE at Oxford is rigorous training for power

      I recall a PPEist during my time at Oxford writing above the loo paper roll in a Bodleian library toilet cubicle: “PPE degree. Please take one.”

          The one PM we have had in recent times who was truly passionate about ideas was Margaret Thatcher, who studied Chemistry. Considering philosophy is part of a PPE degree it's amazing how many don't seem to talk that much about philosophy or the importance of ideas
