Jim is a usual suspect in looking for opportunities to blame #Brexit for things that have little to do with it. Were, for example, the 5,000 job losses Ford have also announced in Germany the fault of #Brexit? Of course not I just wish FT would report more and propagandise lesshttps://twitter.com/PickardJE/status/1136554052660146177 …

the usual suspects will say the Ford Bridgend closure is nothing to do with Brexit - and who knows if management will blame it today - but here’s what they warned three years ago https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.ft.com/content/5f20ead4-54c5-11e6-9664-e0bdc13c3bef … pic.twitter.com/FOhYXcnmH2

This is part of a £14billion global restructuring and cost-cutting plan by Ford. They’ve cut production in Spain, France and Russia as well as Germany. Brexit sure does have long tentacles.

There are winners and losers in this Ford restructuring that’s true, however Brexit made sure Bridgend was on the losing side.

How was Brexit the reason Bridgend was closed? They're making engines for cars that are not selling.

I didn’t say Brexit was the reason. But Brexit did make sure Bridgend wasn’t in the running for investment. Picture yourself as a Ford exec, with a list of factories and a budget. Are you going to put your money in the UK? Not knowing whether you’ll be able to export next week

Is the plants getting shut in Europe the same, don't think so. There is a downturn in car sales worldwide not just the U.K. Both France and German plants are in trouble, what's the reason for lack of investment there.

You're trying very hard to hammer home an assertion that has no basis in fact, because it fits with your Brexit = disaster narrative. You even ignore the plain denial by Ford that it's got nothing to do with Brexit.
