Can't imagine what sort of PM he would ever be if not prepared to meet our allies and friends because doesn't approve of their leaders or policies.

One with principles. How refreshing these days. I can remember when Thatcher gave Pinochet shelter. A mass murderer who put his people in prison camps.

Julia, didn't you complain about "Twitter archeologists" who dug up something you said a couple of years ago ? So what does that make people who dig back to 2003 ? "Ancient Google archeologists" ? 😜

Fair point, but JC wants to be PM. The public have a right to know these things, and he has a duty to be honest about it - Something he seems incapable of doing.

I'm not a Corbyn fan in the slightest but I can read and even I can see that this is dirt digging on a massive scale accompanied by manipulation. If you look at what Corbyn actually wrote you will see how it has been largely manipulated with crucial passages omitted...

Corbyn says "Lansbury controversially met both Hitler and Mussolini to no avail" - that's not appeasement at all. That was an attempt by Lansbury to persuade Hitler and Mussolini to avoid war. Lansbury was in favour of disarmament but...

... Corbyn mentions this in 2003 *in the context* of Blair going to war in Iraq. That was the *today* Corbyn was referring to and points to the passage asking Blair to take note. No mention of that in this article. It takes on rather different meaning if you omit the Iraq war.

Finally, the adjective "wonderful" was used by Corbyn to describe the work describing Lansbury and *not* his idea of disarmament. That is a blatant lie. I doubt many will follow the link and read what was actually written.

I don't support Corbyn. He is a Brexit disaster and I don't want him to be PM but this utter tosh is a smear. And I'm not gonna join the chorus of liars just because I don't like Corbyn.

It is possible to comment on history without the need to time-travel back to that exact point in history. Just a thought tho. Don't wanna be accused of being small minded by saying time travel isn't possible..,.
