That's not the point though is it. The point is he has confirmed it IS on the table. Oh, btw I am no defender of Obama but he would've preferred no brexit, on which case he wouldn't have said it was on the table.

I am yes. I'm also aware it WOULD BE on the table, as it is not currently on the table, even though it has to buy things now.

The bigger issue is no one seems to understand what the NHS being 'on the table' means. It means US firms can compete on an equal footing with German and Swiss firms in supplying goods and services to the US. And that is a problem why? (Aside from xenophobia of course)

Does anyone really think Americans want to take over our NHS? Get real! I assume “on the table” means access to sell goods, services and pharmaceuticals. Would this be such a bad thing if through competitive tendering the NHS became more efficient and value for money?
