It must be hard work for you to scratch around for stories with these buzz words that get the idiots arguing.

I don’t scratch around for these stories. This was sent to me by a concerned free speech advocate. Does it bother you that much?
-
You are either naive or blinded by your need to maximise your brand.

He didn’t say anything about gender stereotypes, did he?
-
literally the last panel
-
No, I meant Gareth not the Dr
-
Yes, the "rewrite the law to...reinforce gender stereotypes" bit. Invoking Linehan and Lewis doesn't exactly help his case either.https://jezebel.com/the-atlantic-has-a-transphobia-problem-1833677331 …
-
'help his case' like you think he's done something criminal. Give your head a wobble mate.
-
Oh sorry, what I meant was, "doesn't make him sound like he isn't a massive transphobe"
-
You have a pop at Gareth for invoking Linehan etc, then you go and invoke Jezebel, hahaha! Just priceless

I was saying this yesterday, more and more, we’re seeing those on the left legitimising the suppression of free speech from those with whom they disagree, it’s classic facism but they simultaneously accuse those on the right of being racists. Peak hypocrisy.
-
Selling words isn’t a matter of free speech. There’s no right to be a published author.
-
Cept the BBC is publicly funded and therefore this is a form of state censorship. But don’t worry it’s the sort of thing you are happy to censor. All is well with the world. Til they come for your ideas and views...
-
BBC Books is *not* publicly funded. It is majority owned by Penguin Random House.
-
It's affiliated with it and trades using its name, which I assume it is licenced to do by the BBC, which IS a publicly funded body. If that's the case, then pressure should be put on the BBC to revoke the licence.
-
All of the operating decisions at BBC Books are made by Penguin Random House. BBC Studios (commercial arm of the BBC) is a minority shareholder, but the publicly-funded BBC itself has no involvement. I’m not sure what putting pressure on the BBC will achieve.
-
It’ll give gammon an excuse for their ruddy complexion when they achieve nothing.
