Brexit is based on a belief that we are as dominant now as we were a hundred years ago, when every metric shows we are not. Blair is right, but it is so obvious it should not even need stating.https://twitter.com/Independent/status/1134480402561753088 …

I'm sick to the back teeth of remainers telling me how to think, or thinking they know what I think.
-
Of which he did neither. He simply stated a political certainty that’s on the horizon.
-
Certainty you say, who supplies your crystal balls, I want one.
-
The nature of power relations never changes. As old as civilization. Older.

Most nations around the
run their own affairs. The #Brexit vote was a polite request from
voters to do the same. - 1 more reply

Don’t rt this rubbish please, he has little understanding of majority that voted Leave , many who are young and just want our country to look after its own affairs. Not a lot to ask , after winning that right in a referendum, is it ?
-
Well said & absolutely true: WTO Brexit expansion and growth will take UK into greater GDP wealth in a future the young can control INDEPENDENTLY for the benefit of the poorest and ALL age groups answering NHS, Wage, Homes, & Jobs issues, unsolvable by liar Blair

Oh yes it is

It really isn't. Remain voters always try to claim this as some sort of moral high ground to disguise the fact they really didn't know what they were voting for. I've been a 'leave' supporter since 1992 when given the pending EC to EU docs to study for my job.

Post Brexit the UK will continue to be one of the leading economies in the world, but will be overtaken time and again by many competitors. In time we will become more isolated, our seat at the top tables taken by stronger, more advanced and forward looking nations
-
I suspect a sudden dip in UK's economy after Brexit but they will recover rapidly. Many people will hate this recovery and claim that is racist.
-
Any competitive dis-advantage to the UK can ONLY be in the UK-EU circa 10% of UK GDP that EU trade affects. Even a 25% drop in that 10% is only 2.5% of TOTAL UK GDP. A 2.5% drop in UK annual GDP of 2%, would reduce GDP to 1.95% Not the false distortion Hammond's Treasury forecast

Don’t journalists who spout such palpable stupidity on
#Brexit realise their credibility on all other issue is shot? If you can’t be critical, objective and balanced on that, why should there be presumption that you can on anything else? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Blair is probably right about one thing when he said you win Elections from the 'middle ground". However I STILL haven't found any Remainer prepared to answer the simple question; What does EVER CLOSER UNION mean ? Perhaps someone could ask TB (and the rest) ? It's pretty key.
-
It means very little since Lisbon. There. Happy?
-
On the contrary, Lisbon accelerated the ever closer union principle. You seem to misunderstand what the Lisbon Treaty is, the EU constitution was vetoed so they brought it back in the form of Lisbon....and now we are where we are.
-
Todd Knapp proves my point, I'd say - a Remainer (assuming he is) who cannot / will not explain what EVER CLOSER UNIION means - you know, in practice ! It's essential that we the UK public understand what it actually means !!
-
Indeed-it can surely only mean ONE of Everything, not 27 or 28. Whilst accepting that some EU Members don't yet have the Euro, last year Juncker stated quite forcefully that "the EURO is the currency of the EU !". He was firing a shot across the bows of the dissenters, methinks
