So far as I can make out, she’s talking about people who are unhappy being homosexual isn’t she?
-
-
-
Yes, but why would anyone be unhappy about being gay if it wasn’t for prejudice against gay people? I don’t know anyone who feels - or was ever made to feel - unhappy or ashamed about being straight and felt they had to hide it.
-
This is fundamentally LGBT propaganda that you have accepted. Society's historic revulsion against homosexuality is not the cause of homosexuals self-loathing. Deep down, a lot homosexuals realise that they are disordered. This is why drugs and hedonism are prevalent on the scene
-
It is a sub-culture long distrusted for understandable reasons which has been incorporated into the mainstream. The benefit of tolerance of the person is now outweighed by the overbearing nature of the triumph of the 'oppressed'. So now, those who disagree with it are 'heretics'.

Widdecombe makes an interesting comparison. She should not be misrepresented or assumptions made as to her intentions. What she said (on the face of it) was entirely reasonable. I'm surprised Julia that you don't see the logic of her argument.
-
I didn’t misrepresent her. I simply retweeted the video of what she herself said.
-
And made a judgement on it, which I don't think was fair based on what she said.

But you appear to have misheard or misunderstood what Ann Widdicombe said
-
Julia's trying to be PC after that old tweet was dig up.
-
There’s nothing PC about that tweet. I have held that view all my life. It’s how I was raised.
-
Don't doubt it. But you'd have let it ride this time last week because of AW's Brexit position. You're on a charm offensive.

Homosexuality is a Cross to carry. Without faith, I do not know how homosexuals cope with it. Really, I don't. Some are able with God's help and perhaps with therapeutic counselling, to maintain healthy heterosexual marriages. The condition is a wound. Wounds can be healed.
-
I don’t know how people cope with anything without leaning on God.
-
And yet I manage it everyday.
-
I have no problem with my godless life

Brexshit party nutter, she is not by any means the only one. The Brexshit party is the Monster Raving Looney Party of 2019. They have reinvented the definition of lunacy!

It’s a view she’s entitled to hold though. Let’s not stop people from expressing their views even if we find them abhorrent, that’s what lefties do.
-
What?? Where do you draw the line?? Racism? Is that ok? People of different religions ? People who are left handed ??
-
The point of free speech is I don’t draw any lines. People don’t change their views by having them forced underground, the very opposite happens in fact, they fester and grow in anger at being silenced; they rethink them after experience, reasoned discussion and sensible debate.
-
So after reasoned debate in Parliament it's clear that there is no wish to see a No Deal Brexit but that's what your party would impose given the chance. So should you abandon your one policy?
