To be fair, I voted Brexit *and* I signed the petition to revoke Article 50... possibly more than once.https://twitter.com/PhilipHensher/status/1133011508139626497 …

    Julia Hartley-Brewer added,

    Philip Hensher @PhilipHensher
6,085,174 people signed the petition to revoke article 50. Nobody took any notice. 5,248,533 people voted for the Brexit Party. These are apparently The People whose will must be followed unquestioningly.

Idi Amin signed it 72000 times. I appreciate that it's a very popular name but it does appear to be a tad suspect.

I didn't go to Uni', but I think I have done alright. But given the quality of so many of those who "teach" at Uni' - like the Prof above who thinks online petition has same merit as an official vote - I just wonder why you waste your time trying to "benefit" from some like him.

That's because the turnout was half that of the referendum. Don't you just love stats?

These stats just show that many tory voters from 2014 changed their vote to LD or Greens this time around. We already know that. The question that needs answered is why? I'd suggest it was protest vote in the main.

Correct, but as I said earlier, many voters go with them as a protest, rather than their policies. Doesn't mean these protest voters are also remainers. Only way to know is ask them specifically.

Be a bit stupid to vote for something you didn’t want, as a protest!

I agree, but has been done a few times before. Some people have a habit of blinkered thinking and only vote for one of the big main parties. Why, I have no idea.
