Even the Telegraph is reporting that up to 2,000,000 voters could be disenfranchised. I think that really calls into question the status of UK democracy.

Well they should have followed correct procedure then. Easy to check if you are on voters register, not leave it til last minute.
-
I think you’ll find that in many cases it was actually impossible to “follow correct procedure”, or votes were denied even when “correct procedure” had been followed. But you know that, don’t you?
-
Of course not, hearsay is not evidence.

Given that we weren’t supposed to be having these elections, I’m not clear why British nationals living abroad planned to vote in the UK, and, at the same time, EU nationals living here planned to vote in the UK. That’s the bit that seems strange to me.
-
Maybe there’s an EU rule that says British nationals living on the continent need to vote in their country of birth, but non-UK EU nationals living in the UK need to vote in the country they’re living in. Yes, that must be it!

Out come the remainer excuses, as they will naturally assume all missed votes were remain votes.

If it's true it needs to be examined, but even now I'm shocked that those leading the outcry are the same people who dismissed the voice of 17.4m of our own people...

When I lived in Germany I was never able to vote. It’s how it is.

French members of my household had no problem. Rules from the council were clear. You had to sign and return a form a couple of weeks ago. Not saying some people deliberately didn't do that but....

It was a simple form, you can’t vote in two countries. My boss has same form but he returned it on time.

My boss is an EU citizen. It was a form sent 3 weeks ago to prevent EU citizens voting twice. If they ignored it, hard luck.

It's worrying how 'unbalanced' our 'judging classes' are - they are THE experts at 'deflecting blame after a disaster'! Suspect 'truth' has lost any meaning to them.
