FFS. Every broadcaster knows the rules. Shows have to be balanced during election periods. This really isn’t very complicated. And the Ofcom rules are there for a good reason. If you don’t approve of Fox News, then you should 100% approve of HIGNFY being pulled tonight.https://twitter.com/haveigotnews/status/1126934743407370241 …

....how can that rule (properly) apply to a 'light entertainment' / 'comedy' programme like
@haveigotnews? (as opposed to a political broadcast)
#hignfy -
Ian Hislops interrogation of Jonny Mercer last week was far more rigorous than anything I've seen on BBC news for years.
-
....that is the point though, there is no requirement for a 'balance' on a light entertainment/comedy programme (guests go on at their own risk - they cannot expect a 'balance')

Just a bit lost why they pulled HIGNFY? , If certain folk were not appearing, where’s the issue. Equally if they were appearing, give them their voice .

But HIGNFY is a smug remain based satirical show. I do understand the rules about the candidates, but as the 2 main stay's of the show never seem to hold their views in check, it did seem a bit pointless.
