True. But the key point is that negotiation has two sides. What @DominicRaab needed to do was to find a way to get the other side to agree. Negotiation is partly about making the other side think they want what you want. Just saying stuff May didn’t say didn’t work.
Raab was completely undermined by the PM - nothing he could do about that, except resign. Clear that Robbins was negotiating FOR the EU as well
