All that said, I still don’t think Danny Baker should be sacked from the BBC for his tweet. A (heartfelt) apology should suffice. People can choose not to listen to his radio shows if they judge him to be racist. I think a lot less of him now but witch hunts don’t solve anything.

BBC playing a rap song by an Asian glorifying pimping out white girls Where was the outrage? White people constantly fretting over the interests of others whilst ignoring their own It's utterly ridiculous

It was a very poorly conceived tweet by Danny Baker, however could he have(very badly) been making the point that the new Royal Baby is nothing more than a Performing Monkey for the Media? Is this term not acceptable now? BTW, i am only offering a view!
-
Poorly conceived in that he should have anticipated the reaction to it in the current climate where people are looking for offence in anything and completely miss the funny side of everything.
-
I agree. He should have anticipated the reaction.

It is because Danny Baker is really really boring and really really unfunny. Always was. Always will be. Just like his boring arrogant friend, Chris Evans. They ruined telly in the 90s.
-
Any chance Chris Evans can be sacked for this as well? Does he have a job to sacked from? Can we find out and try our best?

Interesting how differently
@SkyNews and@bbc5live treat their presenters when they post idiotic tweets that some people might find racist. I was certainly offended by@adamboultonSKY suggestion that I as a Jew stay clear of certain areas of central London - and his non-apology - 1 more reply

Funny how Danny got the sack yet Jon Snow’s racist comment about white people just came with an apology from Channel 4, not even the man himself.
