If it was Australia in this situation we would realise their dilemma and advise them to leave. We'd all be sitting here criticising them for trampling on democracy and wonder what is taking them so long.

I can't believe the UK doesn't think it can do better outside the EU. Collective cowardice. Australia's economy has been catching the UK for 21 straight years. There is still a sizable gap but we are well over half way there. If you stay in the EU we will get you in 15 years.

Doing better outside EU. You can trade with other countries. Yes on EU terms but wouldn't be any better one to one. You can have both. It's not downgrading your country to stay in EU. Its just easier its not a statement of dependency or servility.

Well the people obviously voted as they did for a reason. For a start, if a country is as divided as we are then does the EU really serve its purpose?

Its only divided because if the referendum. People didn't hold these passions before. A lot of crap has been projected onto it which is completely sod all to do with EU. So no they didn't have a reason. Its just an exscuse to dump peevishness somewhere. It's not rational

I think I know what you mean and yes I agree to and extent, Brexit certainly got people's passions running higher but it happened. That's a fact we can't just ignore it, it happened. The democratic once in a, lifetime vote happened.
