The Greens have a bizarre policy combo: let’s Remain in the EU - but you won’t be allowed to get on a plane and fly there for your holidays. Okeydokes.https://twitter.com/CarolineLucas/status/1124235628043034624 …

This has been an amazing night for @TheGreenParty - we’ve now broken through onto 26 new councils! And brilliant launchpad for European elections in 3 weeks under a PR system where message of bold action on #ClimateEmergency & Remain in EU is getting even more support #GreenWave

Let them have their moment of glory. They haven’t a clue what to do and they’ll be gone next time round. People voted for any old shit just to punish the two main parties. Simple as that.

Agree Countess others did vote for any old s ** t just to keep out Tory & Labour candidates. Just spoiling ballot paper where no real independent #Brexit choice was on offer would just have let Tory or Labour win. In such scenario Lib Dems or Green vote least hated option.

so, a horse and cart and a trip through the tunnel it is then. Are we all going back to living in village round-house settlements soon? If anyone can prove that mobile phones and games consoles cause global warming, things will start to quieten down a bit!

Greens & @CarolineLucas are totally deluded to try to spin their gains in local elections as support for Remain. Brexit is a national issue, they have 1 MP. Voters punished the main parties yesterday, that's all.

absolutely, I just love the way the politicians tell us why we voted - no one ever asks us why we vote the way we do, they are just arrogant enough to tell us why we did - quick update - we didn't vote for Lab or Con cos we are sick of them!
