Sorry if I'm being dense. But given Change UK and the Brexit Party weren't even standing, isn't this "the Lib Dems are back!" narrative a touch premature.

I’m a die hard Brexiteer, I always vote Libdem at the local election in my area, because Libdems are great local councillors who work hard and keep in touch all year,I will never vote for them at a GE especially now with their national party not really being Liberal or Democratic

I would not vote for them now because they have declared themselves as a Remain party which goes against the will of the people. I have always thought that they had some good policies & in my opinion, they did some good for us all when they were in the coalition.

Yes I agree, I think the coalition work quiet well considering the mess the country was in at the time.

In the circumstances, I'm now rather looking forward to voting on May 23rd. If sending Widders to Brussels doesn't convince Druncker et al to let us out, I don't know what will.

A party that's only existed for 2 weeks will become the single biggest UK party in the EU parliament. Maybe *that* will finally be enough for the powers that be to get the message.

LibDems realising their blip in the polls was just due to protest votes and low turnout. #BrexitPartypic.twitter.com/BPTWCWCOdD

Lib Dem success needs to be taken with pinch of salt. Stats on spoiled papers need publishing. Many who couldn’t vote for @brexitparty_uk spoiled election papers or just plodded on and voted Cons or Lab.

Oh let them have their Indian summer, when the real election comes they are going to be hit just as hard as Cons & Lab. They got votes as the least worsed option, when a brexit party is in the vote things will be different

It was Hobsons choice in many areas! Have the ‘spoiled’ ballot papers been counted yet? I predict more ‘spoiled’ than actual votes cast, in some areas.

No, It Was A Protest Vote Against Labour & The Tory’s The Brexit Party Was Not On The Ballot Paper Otherwise There Would Have Been An Absolute Revolt!!!!!

The cheering Lib Dems are too dense to understand the “Not Tory or Labour” vote! In some areas it was vote for the LDs else spoil the ballot paper or don’t vote at all...! Are the Lib Dems that blinkered?!? Plus I’ve heard some Tories ditched their badge to run as an independent
