Another holiday? Definitely alright for some - but OK if you can afford it - life is too short for confining yourself only to Brighton, Blackpool et al: This may help -https://www.portugalist.com/rick-steins-lisbon/ …

I work hard and this is what I choose to spend my money on. Why is that a problem?
-
It isn't a problem you silly moo! I'm one of your fondest supporters and thought I was being helpful. No wonder being single is so good!
-
Sorry for misunderstanding!

How many times have you and your family members been to Portugal, exactly? Getting robbed "every time" is quite an achievement. I've personally been to Portugal 5 times and been robbed precisely none of those. What are the odds?

Erm, wander into a tiny basement club at 1.00am a bit sozzled and be blown away by the Fado being sung by a woman in her 50s and try to pay for your beer with tears in your eyes to find you are in someone's house
-
Did you have a good time then?

Lisbon Castle - great views over the city. Bairro Alto district for bars. Time Out food market is cool for lunch. Oceanarium is the largest in Europe too if that interests you!

Take the train to Estoril and walk along the beach to Cascais. There is a wonderful seafood restaurant on the hill up to the fortress. It has a 1st floor and you can see everyone eating. Lovely little town as well.

A walk around the Alfama is interesting. Belem also. A trip out to the lovely Roman town of Evora in the Alentejo. Don't miss the fabulous blue tiling in the railway stations.
