Rips hoping that a woman might see his clumsy virtue signalling attempt in favour of the ladies,be impressed,dm him and lead to a loving relationship which ends up in Great Yarmouth for a mucky weekend

Not a fault; but it's *one* of the reasons explaining male/female pay differentials in certain fields Those who are more confident, assertive & pushy will seek pay raises more frequently and negotiate better increases. Ditto putting oneself forward for internal promotion

Not really. No one who loudly claims they want to be PM becomes PM. Margaret Thatcher consistently denied she could ever be PM until she actually ran for the Tory leadership.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnstI6xRuHU …

Her hand was forced by the withdrawal of Keith Joseph following his "cycle of deprivation" speech. Story is she came home and announced to Denis: "Keith won't do it. I'll have to stand for Leader" to which Denis replied, "Leader of what, dear?"

True, or it could be a tactical move. Thatcher used very similar words and no one chasing the leadership even focused on her.

Imho, women tend to look to those around them to see who / how many counter their negative assertion as a way to measure support, whereas men would expect only negative feedback from a negative assertion, so almost always positively assert themselves and look to see who follows.
