What about the faulty fridge?
-
-
-
It’s odd that nobody ever mentions that. Or the occupier of the flat which started it. What happened to him?
-
A kitchen accident won't cause a tower block to burn down. Not unless there's something seriously wrong with the building.
-
Or there was certain substances being stored in the faulty fridge that the occupier could not control , packed his cases and left , where is he now?
-
Exactly. Normally the tabloids would have been all over him there’s been no mention. Nobody knows who or where he is.

@talkRADIO and@alex_dibble for covering my story and the story of thousands of others trapped in the#CladdingScandal. We need@kitmalthouse@JBrokenshire and@mhclg to act now to ensure our safety without forcing us into bankruptcy.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The cladding was manufactured to an eu standard this is verified by an eu standard mark , should the eu be liable for problems caused by eu standards that we are forced to abide by ?

Extraordinary indeed. Surprised that this is not higher up the news agenda. Instead we are fed a diet of climate change and child poverty bullshit courtesy of a Swedish child and a patronising actress/actor.

Not much sympathy for those that got massive discounts on their houses then rent them out at massive profit.

This is the next scandal of Govt incompetence after
#Windrush. How they can’t see that this is utterly scandalous and should be immediately resolved is more evidence, if needed, that this Govt has no vision, skill or leadership whatsoever@JBrokenshire@Northpoint20Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

And please don’t forget people like us, who although don’t have ACM cladding, are living in a dangerous building due to incorrectly installed fire breaks

So a combination of EU mandated energy consumption law and our weakened fire safety standards creates this scandal. No wonder that no

The cladding was totally unnecessary and only to make the blocks look nicer. It should be down to whoever put the cladding on to pay for its removal. Leases usually only oblige leaseholders to contribute towards essential repairs, not improvements like cladding.
-
The cladding was added to make the building more energy efficient. The building was being refurbished and the law required it to be done in a "green" way. Tragically, they messed it up.
-
I don't understand why it was necessary for energy efficiency. I own a tower block flat on the edge of Belfast and the EPC certificate is in the B grade. No leaks, no draughts, surrounded by solid concrete and great soundproofing. Brilliant flat to live in.
