Bizarre. If Twitter was sensible, they would make it a rule that anyone who makes a complaint, which isn’t upheld, should themselves be subject to a suspension.

I was thinking more of the (dimly remembered) Athenian rule that if someone proposed a new (or changed) law, and it wasn’t supported, they had to go into exile.

Ah, that’s a useful one. But Hammurabi was the first code of law which dealt with perjury: “if a man accuses another of murder and fails to prove it, he shall be put to death”
