This is so laughable. @Nigel_Farage resigned after the 2016 referendum because he thought the job was done. He (like every Leave voter) never thought for one moment that the British political class would attempt to thwart a democratic vote. How wrong we all were.https://twitter.com/peterkyle/status/1119855123000201217 …

Never forget that this is the man who resigned from leading his party the second he won the referendum. When it come to the tough choices, to negotiating for our country, to leading our nation through difficult times...he turns his back and runs a mile https://twitter.com/Nigel_Farage/status/1119695910483714049 …

No. Nigel Farage resigned after the 2016 referendum because he knew he could not deliver on his promises. He knew it was far better to sit back and watch others fail whilst carping from the sidelines that he could have done better. He is a fraud. https://twitter.com/JuliaHB1/status/1119868883358363648 …

You are laughable! What CEO thinks the job is done because the mission has been approved by the board, but there is no plan? Surely that is the point where Nigel steps forward and says “look this is what I have been thinking about and working on for years, here is the plan”.

Still, we clearly had a top notch board, where nearly four out of ten were in favour and the mission was therefore approved with zero detail agreed, so on we go.

No he resigned in 2016 because he wanted to distance himself from the mess so he could come back screaming “betrayed” 2 years later. It was all horribly predictable.

This! Farage, Johnson, Gove never expected to win, they knew then what we all know now, that Brexit was impossible to deliver & would be disasterous for our future. Farage had the nouse to try & distance himself from the mess.

Mr Farage resigned because he does not do policy implementation, a form of political laziness. Similarly, Julia, you write this kind of comment as a form of viral intellectual laziness. Brexit is a process requiring hard work, it will not fall from the sky.

Bless you. But last time I looked, Farage wasn’t an MP in the governing party and therefore would have been unable to perform any role in delivering Brexit. Is this really too complicated for you?

Of course, that explains why he offered no credible proposals on the way forward and how to get there. Plenty of non MPs came up with ideas but that is apparently beneath him. Instead he focuses on outrage. Bless you both.
