I thought this was a comedy spoof from
@HackneyAbbott but apparently it's real. Now the grovelling apology which is worse and pointless. Rum@DavidLammy is not only from Jamaica. -
Chill out.

Even with something so trivial and uninteresting the racist card is played. They just can't help it.
-
You might not be watching the game closely enough to spot who played that card.

For gods sake chill out everyone. It turned into an amusing thread with much friendly banter. It didn't concern Brexit or climate change and made me chuckle. Lighten up, we need more good natured threads on Twitter.

Diane Abbott has said in the past 'I am a West Indian mum and West Indian mums will go to the wall for their children' - she forgot to add 'and go to M&S for their rum cocktails'

Tbh I don’t care that she was having a drink on the train - however she is purporting to be up to the job of our Home Secretary!! And surely ‘leaders’ of those sort of positions don’t break ANY rules!

-
Current leaders are augmenting poverty, deporting British citizens and lying to the public even more than usual for the past 2 years. Everyone is human and breaks minor rules sometimes. What leaders are not supposed to be is cruel. If you can’t see that, you are beyond help.
-
Of course we are all human - kindly highlight which rules /laws you think are acceptable for a supposed Home Secretary in waiting to break??!!!! So you are saying we can all break this rule?
-
Uhhh, one as inconsequential as this? She drank a drink. The worst that would have happened is a TFL worker or police asking her not to. I’ve certainly had a drink on the train. And I did not say anything about laws. She broke zero laws or anything close to it.

If only the UK's middle class career protestors weren't busy blocking roads in London right now they could be protesting outside every M&S in the UK :)

Let’s hope the sugar levels aren’t affected, she will be mis-speaking all over the place. As for
@DavidLammy probably best not to refer to alcohol and rastafarians in the same tweet. It’s basic stuff really!! -
Don't you know there are occasions when diabetics have to have sugar and they regulate their sugar, not go without it completely.
