"Wer'd run our own affairs, AS MOST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD DO." But NOT you, Scotland!

Er, I think that was a decision made by the good people of Scotland a few years ago, no? I’m more than happy for Scotland to be independent if that’s what the people want.
-
The 'people' were split: of the 55% who did not want full independence, 38% wanted greater powers. They too were cheated. The odd thing is. Scotland under the SNP wishes to keep the Crown, hence it is not seceding. It is asking we negotiate a new accord for the 21st century.
-
In addition, Westminster plans to withdraw a long list of powers from Scotland, the prize for believing the promise that holding to an illusary 'union' meant staying in Europe. As a business woman I'm sure you'd call any contract signed and broken in that manner, null and void.
-
Not plans to, has removed, 111 powers on 12th June 2018

As Yulia sometimes reminds us she was inexpensively educated and dumb tweets like this one do make me wonder that she might be right

It's just a bit weird to give up 'completely free' trade with the world's largest trade bloc in order to negotiate 'something' with the world's largest trade bloc.
-
True.. we're also giving up the right to participate in making the rules of that trade bloc whilst still contributing. Plus we're also giving up our only chance of participating in truly representational elections and will solely be stuck with first past the post.
-
And 50+ other EU-non EU country trade deals.
-
And membership of 5hings like Euratom and the European Medicenes agency.. all things that deliver benefits from economy of scale
-
And the utter loss of the ability for UK citizens to hold their government to account for free, with free legal advice regarding anything to do with EU law paid for by the EU

-
I didn't know that. That's pretty good isn't it?
-
Yeah. We are part of something that is pretty impressive.

Apart from EU immigration, the British government still determines the vast majority of policy over every issue of greatest concern to British voters – including health, education, pensions, welfare, monetary policy, defence and border security.’

Nita, these are all facts..
#brexitCult do not do facts. They r the empire& will rule the waves once again with the unicorns, where rich people wont have to pay taxes on offshore ££, where the nhs is private; where it's ok to lie &cheat. They have unicorns, they dont want facts. -
Sadly I think you’re right. The hardest part of brexit is realising that people still believe in the snake oil salesmen. Nothing that anyone says or does makes a blind bit of difference. They just want ‘out’ and they don’t care how, why or who gets trampled in the process.
