So they get to rebel against their trust fund?

Trust funds have very little to do with respecting democratic votes

Yes makes me laugh when people stereotype about Brexit. I always hear how middle classes voted Remain but most of my family (and we are what ppl would consider posh - rich, privately educated etc) voted leave. There’s no design. Ppl voted the way they did for varying reasons.
-
Indeed. My family split 50/50 but as middle class as they come!
-
Ditto. Our Oxbridge members voted Leave. Our public schoolars preferred Remain. (Funnily, our Oxbridgers attended state schools).
-
This doesn't surprise me, the upper class often have a great cultural affinity with the working class than with the aspirational middle class. I've known plenty of Toffs who read the Sun.
-
They’re probably not ‘toffs’ if they read the sun. More likely pretentious or maybe nouveau riche rather than posh. Money can’t buy class.
-
Pretentious people don't read the Sun, they read the Guardian
-
I agree. But my point is that pretentious people are often masking who they really are. So while they might read the guardian to impress fellow pretentious left wing morons, they come from sun reading families. (Posh families mainly read the times & telegraph!!)

Are you really anti-establishment
@JuliaHB1? Really? Don't make me laugh! -
Personally, I’m just pro-democracy. It’s an old fashioned value, I know...
-
Upholding democracy is about more than just the numbers of people voting.
-
Like what?
-
What do you think?
-
Dunno that's why i'm asking you...
-
Not breaking electoral rules would be good. Also not offering an undeliverable solution
-
honesty and fair play are not tenets of, or in the definition of, or unique to democracy
