Just had an MRI scan for a back problem. Bloody scary experience. Waited 2 months for the NHS appointment. Arrived early & seen straight away because the patient before me didn’t turn up. Up to 20% of patients don’t turn up to their MRI scans. What a waste of NHS resources.

Mine would be "wow, me and my mates spend our lives running down the NHS, and yet i still recieve this treatment for free, and whilst these amazing workers recieve a outragously low salary and work long hours, they are still pleasant"

Try living in Ireland, we pay prsi, basically national insurance and then we pay. 55 euro for doctors appointment, 120 euro for A&E visit. Got a cortisone injection last month,-260 euro... Miss the NHS.

That makes the situation worse! Free NHS and then not turn up. Maybe we should bill no shows?pic.twitter.com/qCkho2e2R3

I’d like GP appointments too. Very difficult to get an appointment at my surgery, so when one is wasted it’s very annoying

Also, maybe folk don't show for appointments due to unreasonable bosses, zero hour contracts and no sick pay. Just a thought. Lucky you though. Not scanning for a heart I hope, that would be a real waste of NHS resources.
