Has there been *any* pause for thought from Brexiteers who said Brexit on March 29 could not be stopped? It's now been delayed twice - and will be until a Tory Brexiteer wins a majority at an election. And that means giving Lab the chance to block Brexit altogether. BIG gamble.

Well, yes, obviously we were foolish to believe what MPs actually said about not blocking Brexit. More fool us. We won’t make that mistake again.

But that's exactly what it looks like you're doing. I'm not making a moral point, but a tactical one. Why not accept the deal, get out and go again -- take the 80 percent win and don't risk a 100 percent loss

It’s not an 80% win. It’s not even a 1% win. It’s not Brexit. It’s a cunning Remoaner EU/UK civil service wheeze cooked up to keep us tied to the EU forever with no get out clause. I’d rather start again from scratch than be blackmailed into agreeing to this faux Brexit.

Fair enough if you believe that, I just don't see it. The backstop (for all its flaws - & they are many and serious) is the tool to achieve all you want: GB out of everything - hard Brexit. Price is simple: NI alone accepts EU rules. How is that a 1% win?

Imagine even being asked to carve up the UK as the price to continue friendly relations with a supposed trading bloc we were told hardly affected day-to-day life! That's not an 80% win. And with the parliament we have, it's unlikely to get better.

I'm referring to how the EU was framed pre-ref. Leavers were scoffed at for highlighting the EU's powers.

Irony of complaining that politicians lied to you to stop Brexit when you quite happily accepted them lying to get it in the first place.

You arrogantly believed that a No Deal Brexit that would damage our security, economy and jobs, and which is opposed by the clear majority of the public, would be allowed by parliament. Well, it won't be. Now or ever. So now you know.
