Hey @MollyMEP, Brexit hasn’t diminished our nation. It’s the useless Remainer PM and Remoaner politicians like you working every day to undermine our democratic vote for Brexit that has led us here. You share the blame for this.https://twitter.com/MollyMEP/status/1115489043645644800 …

Today, our prime minister will go, cap in hand, to Paris and Berlin to beg for concessions Before June 2016 she would have been the equal of Merkel and Macron What could be more symbolic of the way Brexit has diminished our standing in the world? #JustMakeItStop

To be fair, I think it has mainly been diminished by those people who mistakenly think that it is clever to use infantile insults like "Remoaner" habitually in their discourse.

It’s not an insult. It denotes the difference between “people who voted Remain & accept the democratic result” and “people who voted Remain but don’t accept that the lost because they aren’t democrats”.

That's nonsense surely? We all have the right to express our opinions and to fight against what can increasingly be seen to be a damaging outcome. The leavers have never explained, convincingly, how leaving will make life better for the people of our country.

I think that is a disingenuous response. If you believe in democracy, you accept dissent. For very many people, Brexit represents one of the worst political ideas ever and wish to express their views. To assert that they are in democratic is indicates a perverse idea of democracy

what democratic result? do you mean the one in which campaigns led by senior Tory MPs engaged in electoral law violations as adjudicated in court? such electoral fraud in civilised societies invalidates the results: it can no longer be called "democratic" when tainted with fraud

Democracy is giving people the truth and listening to the people. Lying to the people then asking them to base a life changing decision based on those lies and breaking the law to influencing them IS NOT DEMOCRACY.

History and the courts already shows a lack of democracy in 2016. Interpreting democracy to one's own ends is rife. Which is more important, democracy or responsibility? Seems to be a general lack of the latter these days.
