Hey @MollyMEP, Brexit hasn’t diminished our nation. It’s the useless Remainer PM and Remoaner politicians like you working every day to undermine our democratic vote for Brexit that has led us here. You share the blame for this.https://twitter.com/MollyMEP/status/1115489043645644800 …

Today, our prime minister will go, cap in hand, to Paris and Berlin to beg for concessions Before June 2016 she would have been the equal of Merkel and Macron What could be more symbolic of the way Brexit has diminished our standing in the world? #JustMakeItStop

Useless she might be, but perhaps not as useless as the Leavers who have left her there hanging so they don’t need to take any blame for failing to carry out their own will. Seems to me what they have is a convenient fool to hide behind.

Or they aren’t voting for a treaty that is not remotely the Brexit we voted for and ties our hands forever? Maybe that?

It was a vote on the UK's membership of the European Union, Julia. We will be leaving membership. What part "democracy" don't you understand?

Love the 'what 17.4 m voted for' line. A small group of Tory MPs with broadly similar political views can't decide what Brexit looks like after 3 yrs. So idiotic to suggest 17.4 m people from all walks of life spoke with a single voice on one day in 2016.

My personal favourite representation for this is that the two figureheads of the vote leave campaign, Gove and Johnson voted differently on May's deal.

Haha, nicely done Julia. I like the way you casually slide in there, almost unnoticed, a claim that all 17.4 million voted for the same version of Brexit

I didn’t vote on anything more than whether we were dropping our membership of the EU or not - all the other bits were totally uncertain with no clear path or truth - so your line that ‘all 17.m voted ‘ for anything more than that is wrong.

The Brexit that people voted for one was a controlled one, where we'd negotiate the terms of the deal straight after the referendum. It would be the easiest deal in history to complete and there'd be no downsides. Thats the Brexit people voted for.
