Right, it’s time for a Twitter poll. Do you butter the inside of BOTH slices of bread in a sandwich, or just one of them?

This tweet sparked a conversation at home, the outcome of which was the discovery that my wife is also a one slice freak.

He is completely sane and correct - Julia, 2 sides with butter is a cry for help & is also VERY wasteful. I’m shocked,

Tell him he’s on a warning but if he EVER butters cold toast, he’s out the door.

Oh he’d have been long gone by now if he ever did that

I don’t butter EITHER slice, restricting garnishing to a decent mustard and perhaps a quality pickle. So shoot me now.

Of course you only butter one side. My sympathy, as so often, is with him.

Dear Julia, we recommend buttering both slices of bread on both sides. For the best results we also suggest adding a slice of butter between each layer of filling.

Funniest thing since butter mountain.

Dear Mr Why. This mission was unsuccessful and also technically not the act of the British government. Please note that certain laws still restrict what may be discussed about the details and that censorship may be in place occasionally.
