Yes but if more fathers are enabled and encouraged to be the primary carers it leads to more equality of opportunity. Some women aren't natural nurturers, some men are. For some being a parent is their favourite thing, for others it can be their biggest regret.

Julia doesn't want men earning money to stay at home and help their recuperating wives with nurturing their own children. That's not the smartest thing I've read today.

Well said. I for one wanted to stay at home. But being the main earner I had no choice, it was that or starve, and I have never relied on handouts.
