While I profoundly disagree with @jessphillips about Brexit, I can’t help thinking that if more MPs - of all parties - were like her, our democracy would be in a much better place. Excellent @SophyRidgeSky interview.

Even if what is implemented is absolutely nothing that was promised? Also based of a referendum leave campaign that was illegal? Wow, how very un-British!

Really getting sick of remainers coming up with 50 new ways every day to mischaracterise the Brexit vote, and almost all of them being hyperbole. Reading them makes me even more hardened towards the Brexit position.

Leaving with a deal is still implementing the vote theres still going to be 10-15 years of negotiating trade to do regardless of no deal in which case we will lose our arses and pay for extended membership

Doesn’t Jess want a 2nd referendum?

Then how can you support Jess Phillips, who wants to stop democracy & go to a third referendum, presumably with Remain on the ballot? I can’t understand your reasoning

Was it democratic? It was an advisory referendum. Grow up. You want to hinge off a leaflet pledge. What about all the lies. The referendum was just voting to leave like Norway or Switzerland as promoted by Farage. A true democrat would care most about checking ppl want this deal.
-
So if Remain had won you wouldn’t have abided by the result? You’d want to run it again?
-
Remain is remaining as per Cameron's deal. We had a deal which people voted on. Can't be arsed debating childish whataboutery. If you can't tell the difference between a vote for the status quo and fundamental change then you're an idiot.
-
Article 50 though
-
Political madness. The same people voting for A50 now want a people's vote. Why is their current position (with facts) less important to you than their initial position (bullied by tabloids - enemy of the people headlines)

You support a result, which had it been binding, and not advisory, would have been declared illegal. A loophole in electoral law, or dissembling of the status of the vote, either way it should be voided else we are a *corrupted* democracy.
-
You still haven’t got over it shame
-
I am disgusted that an illegally conducted poll is driving the future of the country, as should be anyone with an ounce of integrity, decency or honesty. I would argue the same whatever the outcome of it.
-
You really need to get over it now
