This is terrifying stuff. And it’s just become normalised now. No one in the room even bats an eyelid when he says this stuff. Horrific. https://twitter.com/markmobility/status/1114287002348863488 …

People pointing out that he’s talking about gang members. That’s not the point. He uses this sort of language all the time about people who aren’t violent criminals.

Julia, I respect you and agree with you mostly. But you have a severe case of Trump derangement syndrome. He is the only politician delivering on manifesto promises. Imagine him being in charge of Brexit. Do you think we would have left by now?

UKIP has lost its appeal I think. Farage should never have left when the job was only half done. If he has remained within UKIP, I feel they would be the leading Brexit party in the UK currently

I agree i was deeply dismayed by Farage's narcissistic move as well. Ideally for Britan/FarageParty/UKIP would merge.... Barring that they agree to not divide the votes by only running a candidate from one of the 3 for each seat Batten has done great with party capacity building

Julia, that's a rehash of an old video, telling the same lie over again. The rest of it adds context, where he specifically refers to that MS13 gang. NYT have pushed this, but it all comes from a video rehash, from a nobody. Don't fall into this trap, it's utterly fake news.

You can't simply say "ok this is fake, but there are others". You specifically used this as an example. It is fake. If there *are* others, use them. 🤷‍♂️

@JuliaHB1 It IS the point. He has only used the word "animals" in reference to people ONCE, and it was MS-13 gang members, who ARE violent criminals. You're escalating THIS statement as "terrifying stuff" when MS-13 is who everyone should be terrified by.

Further, to claim that he "uses this sort of language all the time about people who aren't violent", is entirely false. Give examples? Context, words & specific people of reference are key. To take a statement out of context, is a dangerous journalistic error.

And finally, the word "animals" is the least "terrifying" choice of words to describe MS-13 monsters. The real point is, we are dealing with monsters, animals, and corrupt people & politicians on a global scale, that need to be CALLED OUT and justice be served. Trump is doing so.
