Julia, I’ve spent nearly 3 decades in the fish trade. Our Cod comes from the Peterhead fleet, the Icelandic fleet via Grimsby, and the Norway fleet via Scotland and Grimsby, plus some small ports. This is a 100% fake news project fear scare story. We will have our fish and chips!

Well said Toby. Being from GY I am fed up defending our fishing industry against these liars. And why do the Icelandic's have the fish to sell cos they fish and control their own waters as we should.

That's a gudgeon! I think we would struggle until we improve our fishing fleet but I have no doubt that we will hake it.

I think it would be an opportunaty to scale up our fishing fleet and create a few jobs. We'd need to mullet over before making a final decision. Either way, we'd need the Navy to keep an eye on our waters in case someone else tries to mussel in.
