@afneil on @bbctw proposed the idea that @jeremycorbyn *could* emerge from these talks as a hero if he came up with a deal the EU could get behind - reality drops, talk stall, it's all @theresa_may fault. Nobody saw this coming 😆

I'm convinced these talks were simply to stop parliament dicking around. She runs the clock down, EU refuse extension, parliament have to decide. WA, No deal or revoke. WA passes. Everyone cheers.

W.T.O is still lawful in fact I reckon you could successfully argue that we are by law out of the EU as of March 29th . We just need someone with the knowledge and principles to take this argument on

When she was elected to be PM the Tory party must have known her personality, so it begs the question why did they give her the job. Arrogant self important liar, just a couple of traits to be going on with

It's made her look stronger hasn't it? Imagine if she'd bowed down to Corbyn's demands for a CU and FoM. Where would we be then?

I disagree - Corbyn was always going to be able to walk away from this claiming he’d tried but due to Mays intransigence he couldn’t break the deadlock - why give him the opportunity? If May had a collaborative bone in her body she’d have canvassed for views 2 years ago.

May can now also play a card, the one that proves JC doesn't really want proper Brexit like a good proportion of his voting base do. There was little point in trying to talk to Labour before this, they were obsessing too much about triggering a GE and too little about Brexit.
