Yeah, because Northern Ireland and East Germany, controlled by the Soviets, is *exactly* the same thing. Yep, absolutely.https://twitter.com/SkyNews/status/1113848290091720704 …

Once again doing your bit to stoke division in any way you can. Merkel is talking about borders dividing communities here and you know it. At no point does she compare soviet backed East Germany to the UK. But facts don’t slot in to your rhetoric do they @JuliaHB1

It is absolutely farcical that the leader of a country that brought about 2 world wars, both within living memory should be preaching to anybody the morals of walls. The east-west wall in Germany was entirely as the result of Germanies militaristic endeavours. Wahnsinn.

Doors kicked in during the night, banging and shouting with foreign accents, beating children and women before using unimaginable force on the men of the house, before being taken away, civilians killed or shot at by foreign army for no reason other than nationality. NI 1940s-90s

Imperialism is imperialism. My great grandmother immigrated from Cappamore, Limerick, home of George Clancy, Mayor and Irish Nationalist, murdered in 1921. I know she didn't have it easy there, or here in the U.S. Occupation and rule by a foreign gov't is not peaceful.

Like you would know, or even care. At least she went and listened to those who would have to live with the repugnant piece of political & economic illiteracy you would foist on them. Have you seen one Brexit twat do that, instead of quacking on in the media about it like you?

Let's all be honest here. Germany/EU don't give a flying f*ck about Ireland. They've focused on the biggest divisive issue that British Govt feared ,The Good Friday Agreement, in order to beat down the UK's decision to leave the EU. They will stoop to any depths to get their way.

We all know that when the going gets tough in the EU economically Germany/France/EU will pull the ladders up and abandon Ireland. If you're a music person, listen to a song from a band from my home City...the song is called "Let it be". We've decided to Leave the EU - Let it be !

1916 wasn't Ireland, it was a group within in Ireland. More people thought for Britain against the Germans than those involved Casement led plots.
