Really? @JuliaHB1 The 1st result is unsafe! Leave broke electoral law. The ruling, Had it been binding, it would have been declared Null & Void. Does that sound Democratic to you? There were no terms when we voted. Now there are. How is a Ratification Vote not Democratic?

It beggars belief that people who shout about democracy refuse to acknowledge that the result of the 2016 referendum was unsafe and, no matter what they say, was unclear on what brexit meant
-
Exactly this. I’ve had WTOers tell me Remain broke the law too. But only Leave was found guilty, and only Leave decided to drop the appeal against the ruling and just pay the fine. They don’t seem to understand that thatvis tacit acknowledgement of wrongdoing
-
I like to use this example. Lance Armstrong, to this day has never admitted that he doped. But he also dropped an appeal to the ruling, returned all 7 medals and paid the fine
-
He publicly admitted doping on an Oprah special.
-
Ah, I missed that. Good to know he finally did. Thanks for the correction. He avoided saying he did for many years
-
Yep. He should have been a politician....and may yet!

How does it feel to have so many bots following you and trying to amplify your chunterings? This one even suggested putting out a contract “on the house speaker” for treason.pic.twitter.com/sitkp9Ecal

And I thought it was just the lunatic
#FBPE folk who were the bots! -
It’s easy enough to tell them apart.

Are you afraid Julia, of the democratic process?
-
She’s not afraid, but nor does she care about it either. Regardless of outcome the Hartley-Brewers of this country will be fine.

How can asking the people if they are sure now they know the facts be undemocratic? oh yes, now they know the facts.

If people are lied to and promises are made which are not deliverable then yes. Why not.
-
This would have to happen after every election!!!!!!!!!!
-
We do, we hold one every 5 years genius. Quite often the people change their mind in that time too.

The unbelievable transparency of Quitters whose only real reason for objection to a further vote is that they know their grubby, ill-gotten prize would be taken away because the country now sees through the lies.
-
Not at all think leave would win again. What tactic would remain go for then. ? Best of 5 ? We were not really focussing for the last 3 years ? We're racists and we should all hang our heads in shame.
#Brexit#LeaveMeansLeave -
Once again, saying that racists voted Leave isn't the same as saying all leave voters are racists. Having said that, Leave used xenophobic, anti immigrant messaging in their campaign. Why would a vote on whatever the Leave campaign come up with as a plan be a problem?
-
Because they have finally realized that they have no plan to capture those flying unicorns. Hence all the support behind a no-deal as if that was exactly what they voted for. However given the current state of the country, I feel even no-deal would win the 2nd referendum.
-
Well, there are many reasons for believing that the majority of voters wish to remain, including consistent poling results. People begin to understand that the past three years is only the run up to any form of Brexit, it will go on and on for decades.https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/brexit/2018/11/19/austerity-swung-voters-to-brexit-and-now-they-are-changing-their-minds/ …
