#HS2 - In addition to payments to consultancies, the £5-£6bn that's been squandered includes expenditure on gym memberships, illegal redundancy payments, inflatables, pointless consultations, staff salaries that are way above the national average, planting left to die, etc -
One of the biggest gaps in equality within Government,
#hs2 sacked their female CEO on £125k and replaced her with a man on £650k because he had “more construction experience”.....the budget then doubled!

£5 billion so far on the luxury high speed train ......17 PR teams to sell it to us.....10 years work and they haven’t laid a track....DFT won’t give them permission to build it cos
#hs2 don’t know what’ll cost ...current estimates range from £80bn to £104bn .....pic.twitter.com/ry07apZlC2

Oh and ps.....the alternative to
#hs2 was called 51m.....it would have cost £16bn to upgrade the West Coast Line......it would have been done by now.....but MPs never make life simple!

Compains about £4 Billion. Happy to pay the EU £15 Billion a year and give £13 Billion a year to fund private aircraft for African dictators without a mutter.

As opposed to the billions we've sent to Brussels over the years I think that's money well spent

We now know: it won’t “rebalance the economy”; it isn’t “green”or even carbon neutral; it won’t carry as many as planned; it will cost far more than £56bn... What a duff idea. If “rail connectivity” were the key to economic growth, Crewe would already be an economic powerhouse.

All the more reason to utilise No deal. If it’s not used, I hope there is an inquiry for all the money people have been taking for nothing

All the more reason to stop HS2 as well. That's £8bn saved now. Next!
