Stop talking as if 17.4m represent the whole nation, they do not.
-
But 17.4 Million represents the majority, does it not? That’s how Democracy works.
-
17.4m isn’t a majority with a country with a population of 60m
-
Oh dear....So by your calculations under 16 Million out of a Country of 60 Million would like to stay in Europe.

-
By my calculations 17.4m isn’t a majority of 60m.
-
But 17.4 Million is more than 16 Million. The vote was the biggest Democratic exercise in this countries history. Sadly from your point of view, these are the irreversible facts.
-
17.4m isn’t a majority of 60m+. It’s that simple, Gavin. So for Julia to say it’s betrayed the British people isn’t a fact. It’s a lie. A bit like that big red bus.
-
Democracy doesn’t work that way. The majority who voted, voted to Leave. For this not to be acted upon as yet is a fail of Democracy and yes a Betrayal of the British people. Britain voted to leave. Julia is 100% correct.

Every country that voted leave was told to vote again until they voted to remain , thought Britain was better than thatpic.twitter.com/ek5edPHJmW

Remainers celebrating the death of democracy today should understand that their votes in the future may also be ignored. We all lose.

I am distraught, disillusioned, disgusted and deeply sad. Nearly 3 years ago I thought this country today, would become great again and instead it is in a pitiful mess because our sanctimonious elected ‘representatives’ have fought to overturn our democratic view

This is what parliamentary sovereignty looks like, or do you want just 17 million misled people to determine our fate in all matters?

Today should have been a day of celebration. Instead, our prime minister and the ilk in parliament and the EU, have been plotting to make the process as difficult as possible.
-
Bet you want your country back, don't you? You know, parliamentary sovereignty, democratic houses of parliament. Oh hang on...
