Or having a general election and let the British people elect MPs who WILL deliver Brexit.https://twitter.com/JamesCleverly/status/1110486623689543681 …

The House of Commons (with a majority opposed to leaving without a deal) was never going to sit passively and let a no-deal Brexit happen. I have long believed that the choice was going to be between the deal or no Brexit. https://twitter.com/HugoGye/status/1110457119315296259 …

The electoral system needs to be changed urgently to proportional representation so that voters get what they vote for in the proportions they vote.

When are you, Farage and Waters going to make an electoral pact - otherwise millions of us will be pissing our votes away. Time to forget old enmities and shoot into an open goal at next GE.

If 85% of MP's support remain but the Tory & Labour one's were elected on the back of manifestos commited to supporting Brexit, then shouldn't they resign their seats? Why should they now be in a position to sabotage Brexit when they lied to their electorate to win their seats?

Except the main parties won't select pro-Brexit candidates for us to vote for, will fight the election on some flavour of anti-Brexit manifesto, and will result in another majority Remain House of Commons. Might ditch Soubry or Boles, but an election kills Brexit.

The main parties are dead now. Just need to ensure splinter parties with the same people don't try to get in.

Only works if we get to choose actual Brexit candidates: last time I only had three choices. Two of them were clearly lying and the third was a Lib Dem.

whenever I think of the current crop of MPs I am always reminded of the quote from Mark Twain: "Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason".

I don’t know why people think so many MPs will lose their seats if it’s an election. Many on both sides sit in very safe seats. That’s the problem with the election procedure we currently have in place

Well governments change but there are still safe seats. For instance my hometown in South Suffolk will vote Tory even if a donkey wears a blue rosette. And there are constituencies like that for both sides all over the country
