Can anyone tell me what the “compromise” would have been if Remain had won the EU referendum 52-48? Would we currently be discussing all these “soft Remain” options to keep Leave voters & MPs happy? Nope. A Remain victory would have meant Remaining in the EU, full stop.

Loving that infographic - what's the source please? Would be good to have another, showing all the scientific, environmental and cultural links we DO have that #brexit will throw away.

They’d say bad luck & offer us the possibility of another ‘once in a generation’ referendum in say 40 years time, then carry on as normal, paying due homage to the EU. But we voted to leave, so we make the same offer & leave completely, none of this BRINO nonsense..

That's irrelevant, Dick... We voted to leave, we won, we expect parliament to deliver, and you need to understand that you people, and this remain parliament are damaging the social fabric of this country.Go back to yr face painting& put on yr little blue beret W/stars. Pathetic

Moreover, wouldn't we be expected to join their tax system, align with the EU army, and likely join the Euro? Beggars belief that anyone, other than those self-serving who don't care about anyone but themselves, would want to stay in the EU. Some still think this means Europe!

It’s certainly true that the Leave options were not as simple as suggested before the referendum.

Hi Julia, the compromise would look something like not becoming part of the Schengen zone or replacing the Pound with the Euro whilst having access to single market. Call it a “soft remain” if you like but I’ve not seen a “hard remain” campaign anywhere.
