I've always valued my independence as a hack, for the 25 years I've been in the business. But I signed this tonight as a human. Fuck Brexithttps://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/241584 …

I wonder if we counted all those eligible to vote and all those votes that are genuine once only votes. Would it reach a million? Do they think no checks are made and really what will it achieve? 17.4M voted leave and never got what they wanted. 3M is not even close!
-
We voted on an objective, not a plan. That was 3 years ago. A campaign was proven to be fraudulent. Now we see the reality: there is no plan. You think you still have 17.4m? The 'minority' that lost was huge: 16.1m. 13m weren't heard. Democracy isn't about the past but today.
-
You are wanting a re-run of a horse race that you lost on. We do not have referendums just because the losing side feel hard done by. We still have the same support and you will whistle in the wind because you will get no 2nd vote on the subject and even if you did you would lose
-
If you are so sure of that, what have you got to fear from a people's vote? The old referendum was never or should never have been about lost/ won and it can now be clearly seen that there was a wild variation in what those who voted 'Leave' actually wanted.
-
If I am so sure then why pander to remainers? Any result in life is about lost/won. People will have voted either way for various "wild" reasons. The fact remains more voted to leave. Your approach is to assume they have all changed their minds. Not so. No need for 2nd Vote.
-
I don't assume they have all changed their minds. Anecdotally, I have reason to believe that a significant % may have . However, I believe that the number was significant because the option was vague. People voted for something 'like a unicorn' , now they can see that they can..

..vote for donkeys or horses ... they have actual choices....

At least he didn't waste his time sending in signatures to a petition trying to prove (wrongly) it is flawed.

So Julia, when Brexit is revoked or in some way reversed, will you rant and rave, or quietly shuffle off this mortal coil? Please don’t harm yourself. We can talk about this. I’m willing to hear you scream (I will be wearing headphones though)

The things you have no idea about could fill the British Library so I wouldn't mouth off too much about knowing one thing

How are the feedback emails going Julia? How many have you had back confirming your many signatures? - You've gone a bit quiet on that.
