Oh well, if we end up remaining and the EU manage to achieve their ultimate aim of being the central government of all the EU nations reducing Parliaments power and influence to that of a local council. We'll only need about 6 MP's to rubber stamp the laws coming from Brussels.

Well that’s the grand plan of course. The third time Germany has tried to run Europe. (Fourth if you count the Franco Prussian war).
-
Yes - and it is difficult not to compare May’s flight to Brussels with Chamberlain’s flight to Berchtesgaden - although of course one would not dream of doing so!

I assumed they wouldn't stand on a manifesto that they didn't think was right. But then along came Dominic Grieve.

Mp’s have already pitched themselves against the public! Do they not realise ? Doing all they can to stop Brexit. They are liars, duplicitous, conniving con men / women! Utter betrayal by many of them inc. PM will not be forgiven easily!

So when they pop round knocking I need to know their personal opinions, preferences and business interests. Not their manifesto, excellent

John Bercow is WRONG. When MPs of (both Labour and Conservative) had themselves elected on a manifesto to implement the Ref. result fully, and then voted overwhelmingly to put art. 50 forward, they lost all choice of "Personal" preference, they had a contract with the prople.
-
The ‘prople’ don’t want Brexit any more. We’ve seen the lies and cheating. We’ve watched this govt of incompetents. We understand the implications now. Brexit is dead.

Bercow is wrong, the people come before the MP, the MP works for the people. Logic: 50,000 people don’t want to go to war, should 10 MP’s say they agree, then change their mind in Parliament & send them to war.
I THINK NOT. -
He's just full of his own importance and need to embarrass those that do not share his liberal views. The impartiality of his position is overcome by his need to steer parliament in the manner of his direction.
-
He’s a funny chap, he catches himself out. I think we must do the right thing.............. well, that’s ok then.

UK Gov is a "Representative Democracy." The FIRST Duty of a MP should be to represent their constituents by adhering to their Manefesto.
-
The FIRST duty of an MP is to act in the best interest of the nation. Following that their obligation is to represent ALL their constituents and thirdly to represent their party.

Spot on Julia! I think they're all living in cloud cuckoo land & have not just lost touch with their electorate, but with reality too! They've morphed into children trying to get one over each other in playground/HofP; been saying 4 some time now our politicians are 3rd rate!
