It looks like this is being taken out of the Prime Minister's hands. Emanuel Macron of France has said enough is enough, he will oppose any extension of Article 50 in Council tomorrow: https://www.lepoint.fr/politique/emmanuel-berretta/emmanuel-macron-refuse-de-reporter-la-date-du-brexit-20-03-2019-2302680_1897.php …

Oh how I wish that was true. Macron will make the UK give up something (like Fishing Rights) before sham reluctance and he relents.

There you go. They just said, won't agree on an extension without ADDITIONAL guarantees. May will be desperate. Would you like the Channel Islands back Monsieur Macron and you can fish up to 10 feet from Clacton Pier.

In 1967, France vetoed the UK's entry into the European Community. It would be apt if it were France who vetoed an extension to Article 50. France seems to have always understood that the British weren't a good fit for the EC/EU, even more so than most British politicians.

All part of the pantomime, Julia. Enables May to bring back some minor changes, put MV3 before the Commons next week and say vote for this or we leave with no deal on Friday. MPs will vote it through with a massive majority rather than have no deal (aka actually Leave).

We must strategise bearing all this in mind. My plan is to vote @UKIP (where all Leavers will be forced to go once the Tory Brexit Betrayal is complete) whereupon @GerardBattenMEP will repeal the 1972 EC Act and pull us out unilaterally.

Absolutely right...all part and parcel of the Great Brexit Betrayal, which we’re all watching unfold in front of our eyes and wondering just how it’s been allowed to get to this point, in a so called democratic first world country.
