The accusation is that anyone who speaks out in favour of controlled immigration, of the need for integration of diverse communities or against Islamic extremism, the burka or niqab or sharia law is EXACTLY THE SAME as the mass murderer who killed 50 innocent people. 2/3

So here’s just a small taste of the tweets sent to me in the wake of Friday’s terror attack. Too many screenshots for one tweet so this is 3/4pic.twitter.com/lsJeU0lZb0

And no, I don’t think I’m a “victim”. The victims of this terror attack are lying in the morgue or fighting for their lives in hospital. But when people expressing reasonable & mainstream views are labelled as “far right” or “fascist” or “Islamophobic” & blamed for inspiring...

... mass murder by a white supremacist racist lunatic, then something is going horribly wrong in our public discourse. This is a blatant attempt to exploit this crime, to intimidate, to censor & divide us. It will not succeed.

And yes, I know that’s more than the three tweets this thread planned to be....

Which part of that article is incorrect? Islam, unlike Christianity, has never had a reformation so it is still rooted in medieval values (just as the Old Testament Bible is). Please point out one false or islamophobic statement in that article.

No, I have not done that at all. You have failed to read the article and understand the point. Try reading up on this topic.

I know. It’s sad. Like you were personally responsible for what happened the other side of the world because you support Brexit!
-
Nobody is saying she is responsible... what people are saying is the constant stream of anti-Muslim (never Pro) rhetoric among such media outlets adds to the environment of hate towards Muslims.
-
Yes, they ARE saying that actually. The “rhetoric” isn’t anti-Muslim. It’s legitimate criticism of a religion, an extremist ideology that is based on that religion’s key texts, or clothing etc. That doesn’t make it an attack on Muslim people. Completely different.
-
What a massive unsubstantiated generalisation. And no its not a legitimate criticism of a religion. Go to most parts of the Bible and theres plenty of violence to be had. Moreover, anaylsis of MSM characterises Islam in an almost negative light.
-
Oh FFS, of course there’s plenty of criticise in the Bible. And if many thousands of Christians around the world were being inspired by those texts into blowing up innocent people then we’d be talking about that, wouldn’t we?
-
I think it was actually Christians that bombed Iraq wasnt it? Remind me how many died? About half a million wasnt it?

Yes as we know after a Muslim carries out an attack the right are very calm and measured with their responses and don’t start pinning the blame on anyone hey? They just blame the individual who carried out the attack don’t they?
-
The terrorist and the extreme ideology that the terrorist himself says is his inspiration, yes.
-
I disagree with a lot of what u say but I personally wouldn’t go as far as to blame u for inspiring a terrorist attack. I think that’s ridiculous.
