But a well made and accurate point from someone actually on the front line. What do you know about radio isotopes - suplmy and use and importance?

There will not be shortages of vital medicines after Brexit. Full stop.
-
Sure, who would believe the chief executive of University Hospitals Birmingham Trust or the London Ambulance Service board, when expert gob-on-a-stick Hartley-Brewer says it'll be fine.

Hi Julia do you know for sure that cancer treatment will be unaffected after Brexit I am sure cancer patients are not sharing your blind acceptance that it is all going to be great after Brexit
-
I'm on life saving drugs to prevent my cancer returning. The thought of losing access to them post Brexit absolutely terrifies me. How can people like JHB be so glib about this?! Saddens and infuriates me in equal measure.
-
Have you considered it’s just scaremongering? No companies are threatening to pull supply, the only concern seems to be port checks and the boss of Calais port has said contingencies are in place.
-
And the Health Secretary has said there will be no shortages. Why on earth would there be?!
-
There might be now if brexiteers block the ports & roads.

Nasty comment there Julia old girl, nasty.
-
You know it was as snide as your inaccurate assessment of her well-made point. There are people on a day to day basis existing true bravery, grit and determination that don't seek fanfares of appreciation.

Its grossly irresponsible for
@doctor_oxford to scare people with outlandish claim.Medicines were available pre-EU and in countries not in the EU - the EU could ban their export but will not & the UK will not van their import. To scare vulnerable people deems your qualifications -
No one is talking about bans on isotopes, they are highlighting the real possibility of customs delays. These isotopes are time limited medicines. Any delay in shipment may change their effectiveness. This is the inevitable reality of leaving a free trade area.

Leavers aren’t big on reading. Facts are like sunlight. Better to avoid them for fear of being educated.
-
Ah that old narrative- remainers are clever and leavers thick. A great point to make
-
Oh they’re not thick, they just don’t want to know more because doing so, then leads to questions and answers they can not reconcile. In that they’re smart. Self preservation is key. https://www.bnms.org.uk/images/stories/Brexit/Hard_Brexit_Impact_Report_BNMS_POTTED_for_website.pdf …

"The radioisotope used, F-18, has only a 2 hour half-life so is normally made within 60 miles of the hospital where it is used." "within 60 miles" would be in the UK. "Closure of the Grove Centre" - why is it being closed? Serious question.
-
Cost. Pure and simple. It’s time’s like this that you’d think the govt would intervene...nope.
