Guardian columnist @NesrineMalik is busily tweeting comments by people, inc me, making legitimate criticisms of both Islam & Islamic extremists, with the implicit nod & a wink that we are somehow responsible for today’s horrific mosque terror attacks. Nesrine, you are despicable.

I think you need to listen to my radio show before you make judgement. You’ve clearly never listened to it.

She's right. Do a little introspection before lashing out like this. You and the rest have legitimised very despicable views/language and made them the norm on mainstream media. Don't be surprised that some nutter somewhere will act on that

No, she isn’t right. I haven’t legitimised anything remotely despicable in language or action. You are either cynical or stupid to claim I have. I fear you are both.

She's not despicable. Your words over the years have fuelled something beyond despicable. You can wrap it up any which way you like, but you must have known you were fuelling the tanks of some voices best left running on empty. You need to shush for a while. Today of all days.

Rachel just doesn't like people expressing views different to her own. Probably why she gave up the law. Not sure which referral you are making to encouraging people to be islamaphobic but I believe that you don't know either

I gave up the law because my mother died. Don't you ever presume to know a thing about another person. What a despicable reply.

Don’t play the dead mother card in such a cynical way to try to shut down criticism of your inane tweet. You can’t complain about someone judging you when you are making such a foul judgement of me.

I wouldn't dream of using the death of my adored mum as a game card. It was a direct response to someone making a presumption about why I left my career in the law. But thanks for picking up on it. Sure it'll take my notifications even further into the gutter.

Lots of us have been having this kind of treatment today. I noticed she’s even accusing some Muslims of being “Islamophobic.” 😳
